Drivers will be pleased to know that Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at selected roads and expressways during specific time periods will be decreased to either S$0.50 or S$1.00 with effect from November 16 until December 31, 2019.
This piece of good news was announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Monday (November 11) after completing its ERP rates for the upcoming school holidays. A total of 30 gantries will be affected, and the rates will be reduced by 50 percent to 100 percent.
And, because January 1, 2020 is a public holiday, there will be no ERP charges on that day.
However, these adjusted rates are temporary and will be reverted back to their original rates from January 2, 2020 onwards. According to LTA, the next ERP rate review will take place in February 2020, for the first quarterly rate review of 2020.
So, take advantage of the discounted rates and remember to drive with reason this holiday season!
